About me
Uzma Hamid is a senior at Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, where she is pursuing a degree in Computer Science (BS) and a minor in Mathematics with Cyber-Security emphasis. Uzma is deeply committed to leveraging technology for positive social impact. Her fascination with AI/ML and the intersection of technology with various fields has guided her academic and professional journey. She has led a Computer Vision research initiative, concentrating on image and object detection at Drake University in her freshmen year which sparkled her interest in research. Later, She became a LINXS research scholars, which has allowed her to engage in research internship on Machine Learning model performances and domain generalization at Stanford’s Trustworthy AI Lab. She intends to work in the industry to explore the world of software development and technology while also pursuing professional studies.
