Adriana Caraeni

Adriana Caraeni is a rising junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. She is the recipient of the prestigious Chancellor Award scholarship and has been nominated for the Goldwater Scholarship for her exceptional undergraduate research, publishing a paper in the ML4Ed lab on mathematical exam scoring. Adriana is now focusing her studies on information retrieval and machine learning, where she has gained hands-on experience in applying AI techniques to real-world problems. Currently, she is working as an Artificial Intelligence Intern for the state of Massachusetts in the summer of 2025, where she is actively contributing to projects that leverage AI to improve public sector services. Next summer, she is seeking an AI or Software Engineering internship to further deepen her technical expertise and make impactful contributions in the field.
