Raniv Gupta

About me

Raniv Gupta is a rising Junior in the Computer Science department at Texas A&M University at College Station, while also pursuing a minor in Nuclear Engineering. Current studies include the design and analysis of algorithms and computer organization, but also fundamental concepts for Nuclear Engineers, like radioactive decay and thermodynamics. The interest in Nuclear Engineering was very spontaneous – upon taking a 101 course for fun and to fill out otherwise empty days in his schedule, this curiosity ignited a dormant love for physics. His previous work experience is somewhat limited but nonetheless technical, conversing with customers about solar power systems and teaching students across a multitude of grade levels different math skills. Upon completion of undergraduate coursework, he intends to work either designing software to run nuclear reactors or researching physics simulation methodology at one of the national laboratories.
