Tatiana Fern

About me

Tatiana Fern is a fifth-year student at Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering where she is pursuing her BS in Computer Science, with a concentration in Business. She has worked as a software developer intern at Halliburton, where she got to develop a coiled tubing house safety alarm, which monitors the blowout preventer RAM sensors and triggers the alarm if sensors are in critical conditions. This alarm is currently being produced to be sent out on the oil rig fields where it can potentially save the lives of field workers. She is currently working on her senior capstone project, which involves developing an Augmented Reality Grocery Shopping App for H-E-B. This will be utilize Computer Vision to scan and analyze contents in the fridge and pantry, make personalized recommendations based on scanned knowledge, and offer a seamless checkout experience.
