À propos

I am Dhruva Khanwelkar, a graduate student in Computer Science at Texas A&M University, College Station. My passion lies in Deep Learning, with a particular focus on the intersection of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing, and the wide range of challenges that can be addressed in this space. I currently serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for VIST 272: Visual Computing, where I lead programming labs for undergraduate students. Prior to joining Texas A&M, I spent a year as a software developer at Barclays, where I designed and optimized data pipelines for Profit and Loss data consumption. I also interned at TomTom, the Dutch mapping company, where I contributed to a tool that scraped road closure news from internet sources for their internal local intelligence team. During my undergraduate studies, I explored machine learning research, publishing five papers in IEEE and Springer conferences. I plan to deepen my expertise in AI and software engineering by pursuing a career as a machine learning engineer. Outside of work, you'll often find me playing soccer or cricket.
